 For this assignment, I chose to integrate Google Calendars into my life. I have a difficult time of creating a central collection of all of the different things on my schedule. I also have the problem of sharing my schedule with others that may need to know when I am available or when I have other commitments. I know many others who have used Google Calendars and who have found it to be helpful in their lives to stay organized, so I decided to make create a Google Calendar for my life. 

I found Google Calendars to be incredibly easy to use. While I had never used it before, I even found that it already had some of my future plans added into it as suggestions which made setting it up a little easier. I really appreciated how I was able to color-code different plans and events in my calendar in order to differentiate between different events on the same day. I was also able to add my girlfriend into my calendar, which was very helpful in order for use to share information with each other about out schedules. While it is going to be an adjustment for both of us to remember to make changes and check the calendar at first, I think that this is going to be a great way for both of us to keep up-to-date on our schedules in real time, even when we are not together. I think that by both of us routinely checking the calendars, this will help us to communicate our schedules with each other and to make future plans. 

Another aspect of Google Calendars that I really like is how you can set up recurring events in the system in order to be more efficient with entering in a schedule. For my current work schedule, I have rotating days off and this feature was a fantastic way for me to enter the pattern of my schedule and have my entire future work schedule generated for me. Using Google Calendars is going to help to reduce my stress level and also save me time in planning my days and weeks in the future. 

I also like the Google Calendars feature for my future classroom as well. I think that this is a great way for a teacher to have a working schedule with students as a unit progresses. Things do not always go according to plan in class and by having the entire class on Google Calendars, I will be able to make changes in real time to my students for due dates and important assignments so that they have have those updates in their calendars.
